SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch launched the information database at the event and emphasised the significance of municipal bonds for the development of infrastructure and nation-building.
The release further mentioned that the information database will include a wide range of information in the form of statistics and regulations, circulars, guidance notes and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) issued by the markets regulator related to municipal debt securities.
Also, the database will consist of multiple checklists for pre-listing requirements, certificates from several intermediaries and sample letters to be obtained by an issuer who plans to invest in the market of municipal bonds.
